It's great to see the Birmingham Institute for Forest Research (BIFoR) feature in a BBC Earth article about their ground-breaking research investigating the impact of climate change on woodlands.

BIFoR was made possible thanks to a transformational philanthropic gift.

Our alumni community has helped play a part in a major new discovery of dinosaur footprints!

Researchers from the University of Oxford and Birmingham have uncovered a huge expanse of quarry floor filled with hundreds of different dinosaur footprints in Oxfordshire.

BBC’s Digging for Britain team filmed the work as part of a new series now available on iPlayer.

The excavation was part funded by the Alumni Impact Fund. Thank you to all our generous donors.
