It was great to be back teaching older children yesterday at Bakes, lovely to see trying new flavours and ingredients even if they weren’t sure.
And wonderful to see a someone we taught back when they were 4 and he’s now 11, gosh how time flies!!

We're hosting a Junior 'Cake Off' at the cookery school (Bakes Makes Creates) in Solihull, for children 8-14 years old on Saturday 20th May!

Hello! It’s been such a long time since I posted on this page 🙈 this one can bake on her own mostly and we now have another one who loves to eat cake as much as the rest of us 😂 where does time go?!! I’ve been quiet with Food at Twelve whilst our family grows but wanted to start sharing again as I’m starting to feel ready. At the moment you can find me in Solihull working at Bakes Makes Creates. It’s the most wonderful purpose built cookery school for children. Take a look and let me know if there’s anything you want to see running and we’d love to welcome you there xx

Hi everyone! I’ve been really quiet with Food at Twelve since the Pandemic set in back in March. We’ve missed you all! This little lady has been keeping me busy 👩🏻🍳she loves spending time with me in the kitchen, yay! I’ve chosen due to personal reasons not to run classes during this period and there will be a pause continued into next year as well when we adjust to life as a 4! I hope to bring classes back at some point in 2021 when the world is in a safer and brighter place for everyone. In the meantime Quinn and I will keep a few posts going of toddler fun and family cooking. Keep safe and well xx

Must mean it’s pizza for tea for the Amos’ tonight. What’s everyone else having?! We try and have early tea with Q when it’s the weekend and we are all together. I love that we can eat the same things 👩🏻🍳

Tapas! Prawns with homemade mayonnaise, empanadas stuffed with cheese, corn and chilli, smoky meatballs and a treat of churros which I made for everyone. I love our classes! So great to welcome some new faces this morning along with some of our fab regular cooks.

The utterly delicious welsh cakes made by the year 8’s this week at Q3 Langley. I think it fair to say everyone loved them 🙌🏻 24 workstations making about 24 welsh cakes each, for 5 weeks... that’s an awful lot of baking!! @ Q3 Academy Langley
