Over the weekend, we were delighted to bring together the local community for Picnic & Parade in the Park at Queens Park, Harborne, in collaboration with Cerebral Palsy Midlands and Focus Birmingham.

We’re pleased to be working with The Essential Safeguarding Company again this year to support our parents and carers through a programme of 8 free online sessions across the academic year!

Each session will focus on a different topic and provide practical advice, information and strategies to help families support young people.

Our first session is Exploring Ai – 22nd September, 6pm–7pm.

Please look out for a QAC email with the registration details and access code for free attendance. It may also be worth checking your spam/junk folder if you can’t see it in your inbox. We hope lots of our parents and carers are able to join us!

On 30th June, the Creative Media department collaborated with independent cinema Mockingbird Cinema & The Nest Bar and Kitchen in Digbeth for this year's Curiosity Short Film Festival. The festival showcased short films from media students and other talented QAC groups, judged by a panel of special guests from the film and TV industry.

Come along and help us to support young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. Whether you are joining in on the sponsored parade, taking a look around the range of market stalls, or simply attending the day to show your support, there's something for everyone at this wonderful event.

Our Next Steps Transition event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 27th October, 10am - 1pm, this event provides the opportunity to meet with prospective employers, training providers and services around future pathways for our QA College students.

Back from holiday with leftover foreign currency? No more letting your unused holiday money sit forgotten in a drawer, QAC now accepts foreign currency of all kinds, including old banknotes and coins, as donations kindly gifted by you!

WAYS TO DONATE:
* Drop off your currency: Bring your leftover foreign banknotes and coins to the fundraising team at our QAC site on Court Oak Road, Harborne.
* Donate online: Simply scan the QR code in this post to make your donation online.

Whether it’s a handful of coins or a few leftover notes, your unused currency can make a real difference to the lives of young people at QAC.

We are proud to be working in partnership with Cash4Coins to turn unwanted foreign currency into vital funds to support young people with learning difficulties, disabilities and visual impairments at QAC.
