I am delighted to announce that myself and Cllr Dominic Stanford are standing for election to be Quinton Ward's TWO Councillors in the Birmingham City Council Local Elections on Thursday 5th May.

In his brief period as our local Councillor, Dominic has done so much for Quinton:
✅ Creating a new youth club (a much needed resource)
✅ Lobbying for new road repairs
✅ Enhancing and protecting our green spaces amongst many other things.

As a local resident, I was inspired by this, and the proactive attitude that Dominic was taking to address our local issues. So inspired, that I wanted to help Dominic during the By-election last year.

I only signed on as a volunteer but over the past year, working with Dominic has inspired me to get more involved in trying to work for our local area. I've lived in Quinton for 14 years now, and it's nice to see a like-minded person, care so much about our local area. Quinton has been ignored for years by the Council. 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 and we feel we are best placed to listen to our 𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰, 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬.

During the space of a year, I have:
✅ Created the 'Clean-Up: Quinton and Harborne' litterpick group
✅ Reported countless street lights for repairs - fighting for LED across the whole ward
✅ Campaigned for CCTV in our fly-tipping hotspots
✅ Campaigned for speed cameras across our area, to name a few.

We hope that we have shown you how passionate we are about addressing Quinton's issues.

I hope you will put your faith in us at the polls on 5th May.

Year 11 can now go to the library at break and lunch time on Tuesday and Thursdays for revision and homework only ☺
