At Ormiston, enrichment lies at the heart of who we are and what we stand for.
Over the last two weeks, pupils across the trust took part in our annual regional sports cups, competing in athletics and sporting events with determination, teamwork and pride.
The events are about more than medals β they give young people the chance to challenge themselves, build confidence and make lasting memories. Congratulations to all pupils who took part, and thank you to everyone who made this year's events such a success.
Yesterday, we hosted our final Ormiston's Got Talent event of 2026.
Across our regional finals, pupils from across the trust took to the stage to share their creativity and talent. From rehearsals to live performances, their passion highlighted the impact of enrichment at Ormiston.
Enrichment unlocks potential, nurtures character, and prepares young people for life in all its richness. Congratulations to every pupil who performed, and thank you to our enrichment team for giving them such a brilliant platform to shine.

Gareth Elliot from Musical Minds was our guest judge, and the students were cheered on by two local primary schools in the audience.

We are committed to delivering an equitable, high-quality education that recognises and nurtures the unique strengths and potential of every child. One way weβre putting this into practice is through our blueprint for inclusion, which sets out how we'll embed inclusion at every level.
Our commitment feels especially relevant this week, as we mark Learning Disability Week, led by Mencap β a chance to raise awareness, challenge barriers, and celebrate the lives of people with learning disabilities. The theme for 2026 is "Do you see me?" which is all about people with a learning disability being seen, heard and valued. Find out how you can get involved here: https://buff.ly/JeLIQiI

In two weeks, we will be celebrating National on Wednesday 17 June.
This is an opportunity to show appreciation for the teachers and staff who go above and beyond at school every day - whether itβs a kind word, a handwritten note or a quick message.
You can send a free e-card to a teacher or colleague whoβs made a difference to you, ready for 17 June: https://buff.ly/reHXT8W
