Today was the last day for our bootcampers before taking a well-deserved break for the holidays! 😊 We're so incredibly proud of them all! 🙌
We ended the day with our School of Code Community Virtual Christmas Party with lots of mini Xmas-themed energisers, challenges, cheer and fun of course! 🎉

We recently teamed up with SandboxAQ and QWorld for a virtual hackathon where in just 1.5 weeks some of our bootcampers built some amazing apps to tackle the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals!
We're super proud to share that the 1st place winners were: Team: Winnie L. and Gurmukh Chandan with their app SpeciesQ 🥇🎉
This team desgined an app that bridges the gap between complex data and actionable insights making future biodiversity and climate impact visible in the hope of preventing ecological collapse. 🙌
The app:
✅ leverages quantum algorithms for optimisation.
✅ provides actionable intelligence
✅ identifies and analyses key factors
✅ creates more accurate predictive models for forecasting
✅ facilitates data collection and sharing
"We aim to make data way more accessible so that everyone can be a scientist and take immediate action to save our planet!" 💪 🌍

✨Huge Congratulations to Nada Shetty on her new role as a Associate Data Engineer at ManyPets! 🎉
A former Carer, Nada has made an inspiring switch into tech.
🗣️ Reflecting on her journey, she shared:
"I was really excited when I got the call offering me the position at ManyPets—it's honestly a dream come true! I owe so much to the School of Code for getting me here. The technical skills I gained were valuable, but just as important were the soft skills, like learning to communicate effectively and solve problems while working as a team. I know these will be a huge help in this new role.
Thank you to all the coaches, staff and my mentor for believing in me and guiding me along the way. I truly couldn't have done it without your support and encouragement.
Thank you again for helping make this dream a reality ❤️"

Liz shared her thoughts on the journey:
"Thanks for everything School Of Code! Completing the bootcamp not only equipped me with essential technical skills but also gave me the confidence to pursue a new career path. I learnt to embrace being comfortable with being uncomfortable, to shift my mindset and enjoy the challenges. I’m delighted to join the ManyPets team and apply everything I’ve learned at the School of Code!"
