Christmas Dinner & Disco 🎄❤️

Christmas 2025 - Just some of the fun we’ve gotten up too these past couple of weeks including our wonderful cards, crafts and calendars 🎄🥰

Diwali, Bonfire Night and Remembrance Day!

We listened to others’ experiences, shared our own, and learned about the meaning behind each celebration.
🪔 For Diwali, we created beautiful Rangoli patterns using shapes on our light board.
🎆 For Bonfire Night, we made 2D and 3D rockets, painted colourful fireworks, and used toothbrushes to create fiery artwork which we turned into our own little bonfires!
🌺 For Remembrance Day, we practised our pencil control, talked about why the poppy is important, and ordered poppies by size.
A wonderful mix of creativity, learning and meaningful conversations over these weeks✨

Pumpkin emotions 🎃

This morning we revised and talked about emotions. We spoke about how we knew the pumpkins were feeling by looking at their facial expressions and discussed scenarios where we could/have felt these emotions ✨

Scented cinnamon play-dough with pumpkin seeds and various other resources kept the children busy for so long!

After reading the scarecrows wedding this morning we enjoyed making our own scarecrows talking about the different shapes and colours we used. Some of our older berries enjoyed putting their name writing skills to use on the back too 🍂🥮

A little throwback to a couple of weeks ago when our bright berries were busy exploring Numberblocks, getting creative by building their own, and discovering numerals and colour through play. 🔢
Hands-on maths is the best kind of maths! 💡💛

Keeping cool and learning too! Although it doesn’t look like much, this activity was all about colourful ice cubes 🧊✨ such a fun, sensory-rich way to beat the heat!

Our bright berries explored melting ice, colour mixing, counting and letter recognition using coloured ice cubes, empty trays, and letter manipulatives. Not only did this keep their tiny hands busy and cool, but it also supported:
🔠 Early literacy skills
🎨 Creative expression
🧠 Critical thinking and problem-solving
👋 Fine motor development

Learning through play is always our goal… especially when it’s this much fun! 💧🌈

Summer vibes ☀️🕶️
The next two weeks are all about sunshine, sun safety, the sea side and more. Unfortunately the garden is out of bounds for a little while but we’re going to make up for it ☀️
