"Attending the BECERA conference as a student was a really valuable and motivating experience for me. It allowed me to engage with current research in early childhood education and to see how theory, policy and practice connect in meaningful ways. A key highlight of the day was the opportunity to network with other students, researchers and practitioners from different corners of the world, which helped me to build confidence in discussing my own interests and to gain insight into different career and research pathways within the sector. Listening to experienced professionals encouraged me to reflect more critically on my studies and reinforced the importance of reflective practice in my development as a future teacher. Overall, the day strengthened my professional identity and inspired me to continue developing academically and professionally through (BECERA)" - Rhiannon SCITT Trainee 2025-2026

“Attending the BECERA conference was a thought-provoking reminder of the wider influences shaping early childhood education. It offered a valuable opportunity to step back from daily practice, engage with research and professional dialogue, and reflect on how we can continue to strengthen our work as early years educators. I left feeling hopeful, challenged in the best way, and deeply grateful for the space BECERA creates for connection, shared learning and meaningful reflection” - Heena SCITT Trainee 2025-2026

Thank you Heena for sharing your feedback on the 2026 Conference!
