It's been a week in my new setting and I want to let you all know its a great place to be!
I have settled right in thanks to the lovely team behind Allstars at Castle Bromwich infant and nursery school.
I want to thank you all that has followed my journey from Early years Elephants to Hillstone kindergarten right to Delaney Day- Care and now I'm asking that if you want excellent provision for your 2 and 3 year old follow me to Allstars.
They provide morning provision for 2 year olds 9-12 and Afternoon provision for 3 year olds 12.30-3.30, with wrap around care from morning breakfast club right to after school club. The team are wonderful and if you would like anymore information contact 01217473369 and ask to speak to Chevaune Norton or Amy Read.

Many thanks for your continuous support. I Cant wait to see some familiar faces soon, bringing in all those little people who need superb care and education # #

After visiting Warwick Castle I thought the children would enjoy painting a castle...an ice castle!!
Learning colour names, mixing colour, watching ice melt from a solid to a liquid and just enjoying the process of making marks.

📣 NEWS: We’re working with partners to investigate 111 cases of sudden onset liver inflammation (hepatitis) in children aged 10 and under across the UK. Information gathered through our investigations increasingly suggests that this rise in sudden onset hepatitis in children is linked to adenovirus infection. But we are thoroughly investigating other potential causes.

Our tech briefing gives more info on our investigation:https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1071116/acute-hepatitis-technical-briefing-1_3_.pdf

If your child develops the common mild symptoms of adenovirus infection like mild respiratory symptoms or diarrhoea, the chance of them developing hepatitis is extremely low. However, we’re advising parents & guardians to be alert to the signs of hepatitis (incl jaundice) & to contact a healthcare professional if they are concerned. Routine hygiene practices such as supervising children as they wash their hands and good respiratory hygiene help to reduce the spread of many common infections including adenovirus.

If your child is experiencing symptoms of gastrointestinal infection such as vomiting and diarrhoea they should stay at home & not go back to school or nursery until 48 hours after the symptoms have stopped.

Just something I relate to ....I will encourage letter sounds but if a child is not ready no pushing is enforced. A child will learn writing, reading soon enough as long as I build on the foundation to that reading and writing.

Today at Sutton Park the children got completely emersed in open ended activities, taking risks copying others in their play.

I love this! ❤️

ATTENTION TO ALL PARENTS WHO NEED TO TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT SANTA 🎅
Son: "Dad, I think I'm old enough now. Is there a Santa Claus?."
Dad: "Ok, I agree that you’re old enough. But before I tell you, I have a question for you. You see, the “truth” is a dangerous gift. Once you know something, you can't unknow it. Once you know the truth about Santa Claus, you will never again understand and relate to him as you do now. So my question is: Are you sure you want to know?"
Brief pause...
Son: "Yes, I want to know"
Dad: "Ok, I'll tell you: Yes there is a Santa Claus"
Son: "Really?"
Dad: Yes, really, but he's not an old man with a beard in a red suit. That's just what we tell kids. You see, kids are too young to understand the true nature of Santa Claus, so we explain it to them in a way that they can understand. The truth about Santa Claus is that he's not a person at all; he's an idea. Think of all those presents Santa gave you over the years. I actually bought those myself. I watched you open them. And did it bother me that you didn't thank me? Of course not! In fact it gave me great pleasure. You see, Santa Claus is THE IDEA OF GIVING FOR THE SAKE OF GIVING, without thought of thanks or acknowledgement.
When I saw that woman collapse on the Train last week and called for help, I knew that she'd never know that it was me that summoned the ambulance. I was being Santa Claus when I did that."
Son: "Oh."
Dad: "So now that you know, you're part of it. You have to be Santa Claus too now. That means you can never tell a young kid the secret, and you have to help us select Santa presents for them, and most important, you have to look for opportunities to help people. Got it?"
Help each other this Christmas🎄🎅 and...be kind ❤
