Another incredible BOA Group alumni success! 🌟🍫

Huge congratulations to two of our talented former students, Maisie Britton and Leah Swain-Heath, who have both been cast in the upcoming historical drama series, The Cadburys.

Set in 1860s Birmingham, the six-part series follows brothers Richard and George Cadbury as they build the world-famous chocolate empire. Inspired by Deborah Cadbury's book Chocolate Wars, the series is set to premiere in 2027 on U and U&Drama.

They'll be joining a star-studded cast featuring Harry Gilby, Jessica Barden, Ben Hardy, Joanna Scanlan and more.

We're incredibly proud to see alumni from two of our specialist academies appearing in the same major television production. Maisie attended BOA Stage and Screen Production Academy from 2022 – 2024, studying on the Writing, Directing and Screen Craft pathway, while Leah attended BOA Creative, Digital & Performing Arts Academy from 2020 – 2022, studying on the Acting pathway 🎬🎭

Moments like this highlight the strength of the BOA Group, with talented graduates from across our academies going on to achieve success in the creative industries.

Congratulations, Maisie and Leah! We can't wait to watch you both on screen and see where your careers take you next πŸ‘

Before the summer break, our Year 12 Hair & Make-Up students took part in a fantastic bald cap masterclass, developing one of the key practical techniques used across the TV and film industry 🎬✨

Students explored the different types of bald caps before applying their own vinyl bald caps using industry-standard methods and materials. They then refined their work by colour matching to achieve a seamless flesh tone, while some took their creations a step further by developing original characters 🎨

At BOA Stage and Screen, our students learn using the same techniques, products and professional practices found in the industry, helping prepare them for exciting careers in TV, film and live production.

We can't wait to see what they create next! πŸ‘
