🌟 Henry's Success Story – Incredible Progress! 🌟

I just had to share this amazing feedback from Suzie, whose son Henry has been working with us this year.

🚀 Looking ahead to September (Year 11 Programme)

Henry has been part of our Year 11 programme this year and we are now opening spaces for our September intake.

In this programme, we will:

✍️ Develop high-level analytical and written responses
📝 Prepare students fully for English Language and Literature
🎯 Build towards top grades in the 2027 GCSE exams

⚠️ We are having a smaller intake of students next year so spaces are limited and tend to fill quickly.

NEW TESTIMONIAL: ELOISE

Eloise started with NL Tutoring in February 2025 after receiving their mock results and not achieving the grades they wanted. After achieving a level 3 in their mocks, we wanted to secure a 5 so Eloise could have more opportunities for their future.

ELoise struggled with writing a full written response that addressed the mark scheme. This included ensuring her link back to the question was focused, developing her response to add depth, and improving her vocabulary.

Reading was also sometimes a struggle with Eloise, but our tutors strip everything back and really take time ensuring the student is happy and confident. Confidence is key to success! We aimed to improve Eloise's confidence so they could go into that exam hall knowing they could do this - because they could!

Eloise is about to sit their exam in the coming days, but we wish them all of the best luck. An update of progress/grades will be posted more in the coming months.

NEW TESTIMONIAL: SHREY

Shrey started with NL Tutoring in September 2024 on my most popular prorgamme - The Fundamentals of English. Shrey was hitting great levels in all subjects and a decent level in English too but he wanted the top level for when he goes to college and university.

Shrey's biggest struggle was getting past the level 6/7 barrier He was easily hitting 6/7 in all assessments but was stuck at that level. With this, we developed his essential skills including analysis: adding detail and layers of meaning to ensure a more developed response, also ensuring our responses are more concise so we are not just writing for the sake of writing.

As Shrey mentioned in his testimonial, he is now hitting level 9 in the last three mock exams and is obviously on target for the 9s when the results come in.

NEW TESTIMONIAL: CLAIRE

Sorry I have been quiet on here recently, but a lot has been happening behind the scenes. I have been working with many students who are currently sitting their exams and one of these people was the lovely Claire.

Previolusly a top level student in her hometown of Canada, she arrived to the UK a few years ago, but for some reason she just couldn't achieve the same grades that she once was. Claire is articulate (as you can see from her lovely testimonial), hard working and eager to hit the top levels so she could go to college and university.

Achieving a level 3 in her mocks but aiming for a 7+, we knew we had work to do. After assessing Claire, it was pretty obvious she was lacking confidence in her ability but also depth and clarity in her written response. We worked on developing her paragraph structure, improving her analysis aiming to go deeper and add detail, and her time management. She did all this with a great sense of humour and a smile right till the end!

Claire said she felt a lot more confident going into the exam hall and now time will tell. Good uck Claire! 🙂
