Llanrug - Final Day

An amazing final day of paddleboarding, rock climbing, rock climbing on the beach and gorge walking.

We’re all looking forward to coming home tomorrow. Parents will be sent a text with our ETA once we are on our way!

Llanrug - Day 2

An amazing day of coasteering and overcoming fears today, as we travelled to the beach and faced many new challenges.

We have all swam in the sea, explored caves in the water and have jumped in from varying heights.

Another fantastic day and we’re now settling down with cookies and hot chocolate. 🍪

Llanrug - Day 1

After a long journey, the children have really enjoyed their first day here and have settled in to our home for the week.

We’ve been busy rafting on the lake, as well jumping in a lot! We’ve had a good dinner and been out on the nightline and completing problem solving activities.

It’s been a great day and we look forward to another great day tomorrow.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the devastating fire in our community this week. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all the local families who have lost their homes and possessions during this incredibly difficult time.

Reception and Year 1 were delighted to welcome the Animal Man for a fascinating and interactive learning experience. The children had the opportunity to safely meet and handle a variety of animals, including a python, a hissing cockroach, a ferret, a rabbit, a skunk and a laughing kookaburra. They listened attentively as they learned interesting facts about each animal and asked thoughtful questions throughout the session. It was an engaging and memorable experience that the children thoroughly enjoyed.

This week, Year Two enjoyed a visit with Daniel from Selly Manor. He told us all about Bournville and how it was created by George Cadbury. He then focussed on the Great Fire of London, bringing this exciting subject to life through artifacts and dress-up activities. The children really engaged with the workshop, asking and answering many questions about the topic. Everyone had the opportunity to handle a variety of replica artifacts that would have been used at the time of the Great Fire, and had fun wearing different wigs and head-wear. We all had a great time and consolidated our learning about this interesting topic from our history lessons.

Year 5 Cricket Festival 2026

We had a fantastic day at Moseley Cricket Club, where all the children in year 5 have enjoyed a day full of cricket and sunshine.

The children all represented our school with both pride and determination, scoring lots of runs and making lots of catches.

To top off an amazing day, our ‘A team’ scored the most runs and catches throughout the day, so were declared the champions of the festival.

Year 4 competed in the cricket festival on Tuesday 30th June. They were split into four teams and then played against Mill Lodge and Haslucks Green at Moseley Cricket Club, which was organised by Warwickshire Cricket Club. This year Peterbrook won the Spirit of the Game Award which reflects the sportsmanship, positive attitude and enthusiasm and energy in which the games were played. There were some amazing catches, scored a lot of runs and the teams won more games than they lost. Well done to all our year 4 pupils who have made us proud!
