We were delighted to welcome Summer Taft, Drama Practitioner, from Birmingham Rep Theatre to officially launch our partnership.

We are very excited to announce that from September 2026, we will be a Rep Partner school. This will create incredible opportunities for our children, including weekly workshops and visiting The Rep and watching high quality theatre.

Summer worked with our pupils to give a flavour of what we can expect in September.

✨ BIG DISCOVERY DOWN AT FOREST SCHOOL! ✨

Our little explorers had the most exciting day down at Forest School in nursery today.

While investigating the pond, we spotted some very special new friends who have officially moved in. 🐸🦎

The children were absolutely thrilled to meet our resident frogs and newts! There was excitement , pointing, and very quiet whispering so we didn't scare them away.

It’s been a wonderful way to learn about nature right on our doorstep.

✨ Number Day at Selly Oak Nursery School! ✨
our little learners arrived dressed in all sorts of creative number-themed outfits — and they looked amazing!

From bold digits to number blocks and everything in between, the children really embraced the day.

We spent the morning exploring and fun activities that helped bring maths to life in a playful way. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they talked about numbers.

This also coincided with a staff members birthday!

Here’s to celebrating a love of numbers, curiosity, and learning together! 🔢

Wishing all our wonderful children, families, and friends a joyful Easter🐰

Last week The children had a wonderful time learning about Eid 🌙✨

To bring our learning to life, the children got hands-on and made their very own sugar-free oatmeal date cookies 🍪 Using natural sweetness from dates, they mixed, shaped, and baked their treats.

It was a fantastic way to combine cultural learning with a fun, healthy activity — and the best part was enjoying the delicious cookies together at the end! 😊
