Thereās very few changes in this census, so nothing major to worry about, but itās always good to try and get a head start in case you need to obtain additional data.

Initially temporary until end of July, school may appoint permanently dependent on the candidate.
Whilst school/Sims background would be advantageous, it is not essential.

SIMS.net & Census IMPORTANT
If you HAVENāT applied consolidated workstation patch 2, you WONāT be able to import the latest fileset, and will ultimately struggle to complete your census.
Iād get your IT department on the case if necessary.
Please also note you MUST populate the Funding and Monitoring section of Sims before you can start the census, so once again. You may wish to look at that before Thursday. (Tools-statutory return tools- update funding and monitoring)
Did you know the DfE have updated the attendance policy for educational settings? And is effective as of September 2022 (yes 2022). The policy has gone from 22 pages to 67, so you may wish to ensure you are familiar with this new policy.
Having read the document and comparing it to the old policy, I have identified some bullet points below which I think are worth mentioning (due to the fact it is either new information or provides further clarification)
