We're a charity dedicated to our vision of life, free from serious accidental injury.

RoSPA aims to improve safety in all areas of life, without putting unnecessary restrictions on people's freedom. We believe that people should be given as much information as possible about the risks they may face, to enable them to undertake activities safely - rather than simply stopping people from taking risks at all.

Our Story

A registered charity established almost 100 years ago and aims to campaign for change, influence opinion, contribute to debate, educate and inform - for the good of all.

By providing information, advice, resources and training, RoSPA is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life - at work, in the home, and on the roads, in schools, at leisure and on (or near) water.

RoSPA's mantra is 'sensible safety', advocating that activities in all walks of life should be as safe as necessary, not as safe as possible. It seeks to educate and inform, so as to enable people to make their own decisions and manage their own risks.
