Picked up the keys on Friday and started moving equipment over.
a new addition is that there shall be a shop selling all types of martial art suits and equipment, we are working with M.A.R (see there website)to act as a outlet for there Quality products.

kata training tonight, refreshed up on kanka sho, cheers steve for showing me, also found a dvd of helen and les doing kata, its got a few katas which i need and can follow

visting 5th Dan;- jeff Smith up from bristol on family visting took time out to spend 3 hours training at the combat centre, sparring, semi contact, light continuous and ground n pound. we were joined by steve and chris from my club. continuous 2 minute rounds with me taking the loin share in the ring. afterwards jeff showed me some simple but very effective takedowns used in competitions and the dreaded 'death strike'lol. like to thank jeff, chris and steve for giving up their time to hurt me

Thursday is circuit training. a routine of:- rowing, press ups, sit ups, tricep dips, lunges, dumbbell side/front raisers, 'rocky' speed ball, hyper back extension, mad on a bag, skipping, bicep curls, clean and jerk, bench press and the dreaded bur-pees.. 2 rounds with 1 minute at each station,( burpee king is me at the mo with 33 in a minute). finish off with stretching.

all classes back up and running, the little ninjas, juniors and adult classes where well attended . the session was a pad workout and connecting the routine to freestyle parrying

had 2 one2one phone conversations with les lacey and hugh russell, talking about martial art training and the areas i need to pay attention and address in my personal practice, hughs observation of my 'shootiing' in was particular interesting.

started classes at the urban centre, tues evening class is dedicated to kata. had 4 kyu grades attended and we concentrated on stance , posture and attention to detail

another 3 mile run ,started at 6am pitch black around redditch lake, so other senses kicked in as i couldn't see more than 2yrds in front of me,

new year, lets start training. began today with a 3 mile run, felt every mince pie and alcoholic indulgence over the last few festive weeks. took 30 mins so room for improvement. knees held up and no pain from my last injury, which i occurred in November.
