A new chapter for Forward Step Training - But the Mission Remains the Same,

As we continue to grow, we have made the strategic decision to focus even more on the areas where we create the greatest impact for individuals and communities. As a result, we will be stepping away from ongoing FLT delivery and strengthening our focus on employability, ESOL, wellbeing, and specialist support for those facing barriers to work.

This is not about doing less. It's about focusing on what we do best.

ESOL for Employment, Ingeus, Manchester day 2 of a 10-day programme.
The learners were looking at the structure of their CVS and why they are so important. They studied the layouts, which information to include and how to make their CV stand out from others. This will support them and increase confidence with future job applications and employment opportunities.

In the final week of the Second Chance Works programme on behalf of Walsall JCP and DWP, the learners visited Titan Recruitment to look for available employment roles.
Following on, they had to design and create something, then teach each other how to replicate it. This ensures communication and teamwork skills are embedded, supporting them in their pursuit of new employment opportunities.

Learners from our Second Chance Works programme on behalf of Walsall JCP and DWP, the 3rd week of a 4 week programme.
Fantastic progress, as the guys attended a job fair where they can apply their new skills and speak to employers about potential roles and how they can fulfil them.
Sarah, our tutor, was very pleased to see they did so well, approaching employers and selling themselves with newly acquired confidence and purpose – a massive hurdle for them to overcome due to their barriers and preconceived bias.
