Forward Step Training are currently recruiting a part-time freelance ESOL teacher for delivery in Swindon, Wiltshire (2-days a week).
The qualifications required are a relevant teaching and a TEFL qualification , with a second language preferred, but not essential.

Learners from our Second Chance Works programme for offenders on behalf of Walsall JCP and DWP, the 3rd week of a 4 week programme.
Fantastic progress, as the guys attended a job fair where they can apply their new skills and speak to employers about potential roles and how they can fulfil them.
Sarah, our tutor, was very pleased to see they did so well, approaching employers and selling themselves with newly acquired confidence and purpose – a massive hurdle for them to overcome due to their barriers and preconceived bias.

Our learner awareness session as facilitated by FST's Kelly and Ashley for Ingeus St Annes Square, Manchester as FST work with them with their ESOL provision.
This, and all our specially designed ESOL programmes, support people with their English language, overcoming their barriers and helping them into sustainable employment.
The course itself started yesterday (June 1), so please keep an eye out for further posts, which will include updates, data and impact studies.

Forward Step Training are currently recruiting a freelance tutor / youth coach in Tipton, West-Midlands for our 5-week Level Up programme. The programmes ultimate aim is to get young people with barriers into sustainable employment.
Experience working with young people and teaching, training or coaching qualification (e.g. AET / PTLLS) are preferable. However, equivalent experience will be considered.

UK Volunteers Week June 1-7

This is Jake volunteering at Our 4 Legged Friends Farm and looking after the animals, aiding his recovery from his horrific motorbike accident.

Last week, FST's Kelly Dootson attended Our 4 Legged Friends Farm to present our Emergency First Aid Programme to the owners and volunteers. The delivery ensured that there were additional elements included for injuries and accidents that may occur on a farm.
The session was supported by several of the farm cats who helped assess the practical.
This was a goodwill gesture from FST as a thank you for supporting people who face barriers in such an inclusive manner.
