Wild Imaginations

All of this, and much more, has been sold over the last few days - thank you all so much. It’s lovely to see our stuff go to good homes, and also lovely to be able to see the floor of my own home again 😂.

Help us out….! We still have lots of equipment left to clear - please see our stories for details and DM us if you’re interested in anything! Even the ever popular reusable cups are for sale, hence the unseasonal photo 😂

Otherwise we’re going to end up bringing it all home and our other halves might kill us 😱

Between today’s sessions being full, us being a (wo)man down, and trying to sort and sell our equipment, today’s session felt pretty manic - to us, at least - I hope they didn’t to those of you who attended!

We didn’t take any pics of the activities because it was really about the people who’ve made this such a great ‘job’.

I could do a big long emotional post but am too hot and bothered 😂. All that remains to say is a massive thank you to all of you who have supported us on our journey and we hope to see you again soon (drinks next Friday at Slug and Lettuce, remember!!)

As you’ll know, our sessions this Friday are our last ones 😢. BUT we would love some of you to join us for a social next Friday (19th)!!

We have reserved an area at the Slug and Lettuce on Harborne High Street, from 7.30pm until it closes (1am) for the hardcore!!

They do very nice looking 🍹 cocktail 🍹 trees 😉. Much as we love all your toddlers, it’ll be lovely to be able to have uninterrupted conversations!!

Please just drop us a message if you are planning on coming as we need to give them an idea of numbers. Food will be available to be ordered too.

Sorry we’ve been so quiet the last couple of weeks - between holidays and other work it’s been a busy time!

We’ve got our heads back in the game and are preparing the summer specials on Friday August 12th (9.30-11 and 11.30-1). Tickets are available now (here: https://bookwhen.com/wildimaginations) but there’s not many left so please book asap if you’d like to come!

🍃 SAD NEWS 🍃

We’ve decided that after this week - with the exception of our summer specials on August 12th - we are going to stop running our sessions 😢. There's lots of reasons, both personal and commercial, behind the decision and it was really difficult as we will genuinely miss all our lovely customers. We've absolutely loved running the sessions and meeting all of you and your little ones; some of you have been with us right from the start and it's so lovely to have seen the kids grow and develop and to have got to know you all.

So, we are hoping our summer specials will be a kind of closing party and to see lots of you there! We will also be offering up equipment for sale so if there's anything you're particularly interested in, let us know!

☀️ SUMMER SPECIALS ☀️

We will be running a couple of summer specials on Friday August 12th! Open to older siblings as well (activities are suitable for children up to around 8), we will have our usual mud kitchens and water play etc, along with special summer fun activities!

🎨 Messy play! 🎨

This week’s theme is messy play - think cornflour, water (lots of, tomorrow in particular!!), general goo, and probably a bit of mud for good measure!

💦 Spare clothes/swim stuff recommended! 💦

Apart from being really good fun, messy play is actually really good for kids to get used to feeling different textures and to learn how solids can go to liquids or vice versa etc when different things are mixed together.

Adventurous play was fun yesterday! Plenty of physical and skill based activities for the littlies as well as lots of water to keep everyone cool.

Good job we have plenty of shade with the upcoming forecast!

Someone complimented me on a jumpsuit I had on yesterday and I said I’d got it from Sainsbury’s whilst doing the food shop, which made me feel very ‘mum like’ (and old!!). So, just for a laugh, what are the things that you say and do that make you realise that you’re a proper grown up and Mum now?!

Some that spring to my mind would be cleaning the bathroom at 7.30 on a Saturday morning, making packed lunches and saying things like ‘because I said so’ and ‘what’s the magic word?’…!
