Message to all parents of children in Daycare, Nursery, Infant and Junior School…
“As you know, the weather forecast predicts that it will be even hotter tomorrow. Today, at 12pm it was up to 29deg outside with 65% humidity, with some classrooms hitting 33deg. Tomorrow at 12pm it is predicted to be 31deg outside with 73% humidity and on Friday at 12pm, 33deg and 78% humidity.
We can see how much the children struggled today, and we cannot let them outside. Therefore, we have decided to FULLY CLOSE the school tomorrow and Friday for the health and safety of everyone.
For families that are eligible for Free School Meals, please message Ms Bahra on dojo before 8am tomorrow, Thursday - these will then be ready to collect from 8.30-9.30am tomorrow morning from Juniors' main entrance. Please ensure you let us know you are collecting so we know the numbers to be made.
These are never easy decisions to make and we cannot thank you enough for your support today.
On another note - please watch ITV Central News later to see Infant children on the news!!
Have a lovely few days and stay safe & hydrated in the sun - remind any older children to stay away from cold water areas - like rivers and lakes - there has been much about this in the news.

Bellfield Infant and Junior school will be amalgamating to Bellfield Primary School in September 2026. The new school will result in a stronger, more integrated Primary school and will include an exciting, expanded and refurbed Nursery setting (ready Spring 2027) The new school will offer high quality education for children aged 2 -11 years old.
