Celebrating Success at the Future Skills Competition
A huge thank you to Melissa Pearce and the Early Careers Team for hosting such an inspiring Future Skills Competition.
It was fantastic to see 10 of our Year 9 pupils reach the final from an initial 200 participants, all tasked with designing a Bank of the Future.
The standard was incredibly high, with our pupils demonstrating outstanding presentation skills, creativity, and thoughtful, innovative ideas. We are especially proud to share that our pupils achieved 1st and 2nd place in the competition!
As a result of their success, they have been awarded a week of work experience at HSBC and the opportunity to take part in AI technology training, an invaluable experience for their future careers.

Well done to all involved and thank you again to HSBC for such a meaningful opportunity.

Tonight is all about helping them feel confident and prepared as they begin their journey towards Year 7 in September. We look forward to meeting everyone, answering questions, and giving pupils a taste of what life at secondary school will be like.
