📢 New free SEND and inclusion training is now available for schools.

The DfE has launched new training materials to help teachers and teaching assistants build their confidence and expertise in inclusive teaching.

Developed by Ambition Institute, the free resources can be used for in-house staff training and adapted to suit the needs of individual schools.

And this is just the start.

More training is coming in 2027, covering areas including social and emotional development, executive function, sensory development, scaffolding, feedback, positive relationships and creating calm classroom environments.

For Headteachers, SENCOs and school leaders, this is a good opportunity to review current SEND training and consider where staff could benefit from further development.
