๐ŸŽ“โœจ Celebrating inspiring graduate journeys at UWTSD Birmingham โœจ๐ŸŽ“

We continue to share some of the most inspiring stories from our graduates โ€” celebrating their achievements, resilience, and the incredible journeys that have brought them to graduation. Every graduate has a unique story, and we are proud to highlight the dedication and determination behind their success.

Today, we celebrate the inspiring story of Vilma Ibe, who has graduated with a First Class BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care degree from the University of Wales Trinity Saint Davidโ€™s Birmingham campus. ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘

With more than 30 years of experience working in health and social care, supporting children, families and vulnerable adults, Vilma returned to education as a mature student to pursue her ambitions.

Her journey was not without challenges. As a neurodivergent learner with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, Vilma overcame barriers and self-doubt to achieve outstanding results and prove that determination and the right support can help turn ambitions into reality.

During her studies, Vilma explored areas including mental health, psychology, public health and research methods. Her dissertation examined healthcare provision for people living with schizophrenia in the UK, strengthening her commitment to evidence-based practice and supporting vulnerable communities.

Alongside her academic achievements, Vilma also contributed to the student experience as a Student Representative, supporting and representing her fellow students.

Vilma is now continuing her journey through the MA Social Work programme at the University of Birmingham, completing a placement within Childrenโ€™s Services and working towards her ambition of becoming a forensic social worker.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œIt is never too late to pursue your ambitions, embrace new opportunities, and achieve your goals.โ€ โ€” Vilma Ibe

Vilmaโ€™s story is a wonderful example of resilience, lifelong learning and the power of believing in yourself.

Congratulations, Vilma, on this fantastic achievement! We wish you every success in the next chapter of your journey. ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ“
