***Job Alert*** Nursery Manager
We have an exciting opportunity to become part of the Newtown Buttercups team.
This post is suited to an experienced Manager who is confident, passionate and inspirational. The role of Nursery Manager will be to support all staff in their role within the setting.
To effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
To oversee the operations of the setting to a high standard of care and education to children in line with the Ethos, Core values, policies and procedures for Newtown Buttercups.
To lead, manage and develop a staff team.
To ensure the curriculum is promoted and delivered throughout the setting.
Qualities and Experience:
We are looking for a person who is qualified to a level 3 in childcare with at least two year’s post-qualification experience within a Nursery setting. Higher qualifications would be an advantage. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the running of a Nursery must be shown. The ability to use computerised systems is essential. Previous management experience preferred, but at least two years supervisory experience is required.
You should also:
• Be an effective communicator, using appropriate formats and platforms.
• Be punctual and manage time effectively.
• Be flexible to meet the needs of the setting and the company as a whole.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
• Be able to take action or make decisions in emergencies
• Be approachable to all staff, parents and other professionals.
• Have a consistent approach.
• Have high standards and expectations
• Have good organisation skills
