💜 Super proud of the Shine Kids!

Just before Easter, our Shine Kids took to the stage for their Spring Showcase… and wow, they absolutely shone ✨

Their hard work and dedication really paid off. They sang with confidence, danced with energy and brought so much character to their acting. It was such a proud moment watching each child grow in confidence and truly enjoy performing in front of an audience.

At Shine Kids Club, it’s about so much more than putting on a show. We help children build confidence, develop teamwork, express themselves creatively and feel proud of who they are. Seeing even the quietest children step forward and shine is the most special part of all 💛

We’re now so excited to continue working towards our Summer production of The Wizard of Oz — and we’d love more children to be part of the journey. If your child loves singing, dancing, acting (or just needs a little boost in confidence), Shine Kids Club is such a welcoming place to start.

This week at Shine Kids Club we’ve been focusing on our values 🌟

We talked about what it means to be BRAVE, KIND and PROUD — and wow, did the children shine!

We created some special “freeze frames” to act out what these values look like in real life. From helping a friend who felt nervous, to showing kindness in small everyday moments, the children really brought our values to life.

It was amazing to see their confidence grow as they stepped into role, supported each other and celebrated their ideas 💛

What a fantastic 2025 we’ve had at Shine Kids! ✨

Three productions, singing at the Lichfield Music Festival and a whole-club trip to The Polar Express — what a year! It has been an absolute blast.

It’s been such a pleasure teaching every one of you and I’m so proud of all you’ve achieved. I can’t wait to continue the adventure in 2026 with our next production… The Wizard of Oz 🌈👠

🌟✨ Meet Mrs Ashton — Lead Teacher and Founder of Shine Kids Club 👩‍🏫🎭

Hello! I’m Tamsyn Ashton, a qualified Primary School teacher with over 24 years of experience and a lifelong love of the performing arts.

I founded Shine Kids Club to create a space where every child can discover their inner performer. I began performing as a child in drama, dance and choir, and I’ve been fortunate to take the stage at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and even in Prague for an international clog dancing festival.

My training at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire deepened my belief that the performing arts empower children with confidence, creativity and joy. Watching children light up on stage is my favourite part of every day, and I can’t wait to inspire each one to shine brightly! 💜✨

Facts about me:

🎵 My favourite colour is purple.
👩‍⚖️ My first degree is in law.
✏️ I love a good stationery shop — colourful pens and new notebooks make me ridiculously happy!

🎃✨ What a spooktacular way to end our half term at Shine Kids Club! ✨🎃

Our young stars learnt, practised and performed a fun dance to Monster Mash — and wow, they picked it up so quickly! 🕺💃

Everyone looked amazing in their Halloween outfits and sang their hearts out as we began preparing for our upcoming performance at the Lichfield Music Festival! 🎶🌟

I’m so proud of their confidence, teamwork and creativity — every single child has shone this term! 💜

Shine Kids Club is a fun, award winning performing arts group for children aged 5 - 12 years old.

Last year, the children performed in three shows, went to the ballet, took part in music festivals and other local events!
