Welcome to the University of Birmingham’s TEFL Society group! 🌍✈️
This group is dedicated to bringing together students who are passionate about teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) and like to travel.
Whether you're experienced in teaching or just curious about teaching English and travelling the world then this group is the place for you!
We want for you to connect with like-minded individuals to share your experiences, and learn from one another.
We have sponsorship which would offer funding and access to life changing opportunities, these include:
-An entry level online TEFL to all members, which you can use to get basic jobs or volunteer to teach English to UK asylum seekers and generally to use as a training pathway into our programme.
-We can arrange funding to cover admin for the TEFL.
-Offer global work-placements.
-Help get you onto a Funded Global Summer Camp and TEFL Adventures.
Our group offers a supportive and inclusive community where members can ask questions, share resources, and provide feedback on lesson plans and teaching techniques. We also aim to create social events to further support and help our community of TEFL teachers to grow and stay linked together.
