This was me years ago at my son's open morning — going through his books, reviewing his progress, with him right by my side.

Here is something I learned on our 11+ journey: showing up matters. Not in a dramatic, hover-over-every-homework way — but in being present. Engaged. Interested. Knowing your child's strengths and their struggles before anyone has to tell you.

Because when you are truly present, you spot the dip before it becomes a problem. You notice the wobble in confidence before it shows up in a mock score. You become your child's greatest asset — not because you taught them everything, but because you were paying attention.

💙 Has your child suddenly hit a wall with their 11+ prep?
I want to share something that happened recently — because I know some of you in this group are going through exactly this right now.
A mum reached out to me in tears.
Her daughter had been performing brilliantly throughout her 11+ preparation. Consistent scores. Growing confidence. Everything pointing in the right direction.
And then — almost overnight — it stopped.
The scores dropped. The motivation disappeared. And her daughter — who had worked so hard for so long — seemed to forget everything she had learned.
This mum was heartbroken. She couldn't understand what had happened. And she was running out of time — with the exam just around the corner.
What her daughter was experiencing has a name. And more importantly — it has a solution.
