🍂🎨 Autumn leaf printing! 🎨🍂

Our little artists explored the colours, shapes and textures of autumn leaves, using them to create prints and patterns with paint. 🍁🖐️

A hands-on way to explore nature, experiment with colour and texture, and discover the wonderful marks different leaves can make!

🍂✨ We’re proud to confirm the continuation of our funded extra-curricular activities throughout the Autumn Term! ✨🍂

We’re delighted to continue offering our children a wonderful range of enriching experiences, giving them even more opportunities to learn, explore, develop new skills and have FUN! 🥰🌟

Here’s what our Autumn Term timetable looks like:

🎵 Mondays – Rhythm Time | Under 3s | 11am
Our youngest children will continue developing their early communication and language skills through music, rhythm, movement and lots of fun! 🎶👶 These sessions provide wonderful opportunities to build confidence, listening skills, interaction and a love of communication.

⚽ Alternate Wednesdays & Thursdays – Fit 4 Sport | 2–5 Years | 10am
Time to get moving! 💪🏃‍♀️ Our 2–5-year-olds will enjoy 30 minutes of active physical play, supporting their gross motor development, coordination, balance and confidence. It’s also a fantastic way to contribute towards their daily 180 minutes of physical activity. 🌟

🌳 Fridays – Outdoor Learning with Naomi, our Forest School Lead
Fridays are all about getting outdoors! 🍃🪵🌿 Our children will engage in natural, open-ended learning experiences, discovering the great outdoors and developing their understanding of the natural world.

Alongside this, our Forest School experiences provide opportunities for children to develop confidence, independence, problem-solving skills and an age-appropriate understanding of risky play — learning to assess challenges, make choices and discover what their bodies can do. 🔥🌲👣

We believe these experiences are such an important part of our children's development, providing learning opportunities that go beyond the classroom and into the real world. 🌍💛

✨ And our redevelopments haven’t stopped there! ✨🌟

While Charlotte has been busy transforming our baby room, summer has brought transformation across the nursery, including the complete redevelopment of our Conifers Room! 🏫🎨🌱

Charlotte met with Pre-School Lead Keeley to discuss plans for a defined classroom-style layout that brings structure and purpose to the room, while keeping our core belief at the heart of everything we do: children learn best through play, exploration and hands-on experiences. 💛

This exciting new space has been carefully designed to support our children as they prepare for their next big adventure — with a particular focus on developing early maths, literacy, independence and school-readiness skills. 📚🔢✨

🌳 Our beautiful Storytelling Tree – creating a magical space for stories, conversations, imagination and developing a lifelong love of books. 📖

📏 Maths, Measuring & Exploration Station – packed with exciting resources to encourage children to compare, measure, count, investigate, problem-solve and discover mathematical concepts through play. 🔢🧩

🏠 Our newly opened Home Corner – providing opportunities for imaginative play, role play, communication and developing an understanding of the world around them. 👩‍🍳🛒🏡

🙋 Classroom Helpers – giving children real responsibilities and helping them develop confidence, independence, teamwork and an understanding of roles, routines and behaviour expectations. 🌟

📝 Defined learning areas – helping children understand how different spaces can be used, make independent choices and engage purposefully with their learning.

This isn’t simply a new-look room — it’s a carefully considered environment designed to inspire curiosity, encourage independence and give our children the very best foundations for their next steps. 🌱💫

We’re incredibly proud of the transformation and can’t wait to see our Pre-School children learn, play, explore and thrive in their amazing new space! 💛

✨ Our Baby Room has had a VERY exciting makeover! ✨👶💛

We’re delighted to unveil our newly redeveloped Seedlings 2 — a beautiful, calm and inspiring space designed with our youngest children in mind. 🌿🧸

Our Nursery Manager, Charlotte, has had a very busy summer bringing her vision for this beautiful room to life! 🛠️💛 From planning the layout to choosing the resources and creating those special cosy spaces, Charlotte has worked hard to create an environment where our youngest children can sleep, explore, move, discover and grow. 🌟

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered:

🌙 Safe, peaceful sleep spaces – supporting current early years guidance around safe sleeping and creating a calm environment for rest.

🧺 Treasure baskets & sensory play – cosy spaces where little ones can investigate, touch, explore and discover at their own pace.

🪵 Low-level furniture – giving babies the freedom and confidence to move, reach, crawl and begin cruising independently.

🪞 Mirrors & pull bars – encouraging early movement, physical development and those magical moments of discovering themselves!

🌱 Cosy, inviting spaces – carefully created to help our youngest children feel secure while developing curiosity, independence and a love of learning.

From tiny first movements to big discoveries, our new baby room is ready for wonder, exploration and lots of “look what I can do!” moments. 💕✨

We can’t wait to see our little explorers make this special space their own! 🥰👣

🎈 Celebrating birthdays at nursery is always so special! 💕
We love watching the children grow, reach new milestones and celebrate all their little achievements along the way.

Most of all, it’s wonderful seeing them share these special moments with their friends, making memories, enjoying lots of smiles, laughter and, of course, birthday fun! 🎂🎉

The children are cool, the staff are happy, and nobody is currently resembling a sweaty tomato! 🍅
We’re pretty sure the air con has instantly become the most popular member of the team! 😂

🐌💚 Caring for living things is an important part of learning! 💚🐌

Today, one of our little learners took great pride in helping to clean and care for our Giant African Land Snails. With gentle hands and lots of curiosity, they helped make sure our snail friends had a clean, comfortable home.

Through experiences like this, children develop empathy, responsibility, and respect for living creatures while learning about the importance of caring for animals. These meaningful moments help nurture kindness, confidence, and a sense of responsibility from an early age.

The sweetest moment of all? Once everything was finished, our little helper smiled, waved, and said, "Goodnight!" to the snails before leaving them to settle into their freshly cleaned home. 🥹🐌💚

Sometimes it's the smallest moments that leave the biggest impression.
