The Childcare Company is a Matrix accredited online training provider specialising in apprenticeships. Our online learning programme, the Laser®, is endorsed by awarding body CACHE, and has been licensed to colleges and training providers both nationally and internationally. The Laser® is your secure e-portfolio as well as containing all the learning resources for your qualification. Learn online to your own schedule with a personal tutor to guide your through your course from start to finish. Your personal tutor will contact you each week, set your learning plans, conduct your teaching sessions and mark your work as go. You will also be visited for observation in the workplace if the course requires practical assessment. Qualifications available:

Our system works by pairing each learner with one of our professional tutors, all of which have a wealth of experience in their sector. The learner’s tutor will commit to weekly contact as well as monthly teaching sessions. Tutors are also available by phone, email and Skype if the learner requires it. Learners are given secure, personal access to their Laser® teaching and learning programme, which also doubles as their e-portfolio. They can use this to view the lessons for each of their learning outcomes, to contact their tutor, upload their work or pursue extended learning to increase their knowledge beyond the expectations of their chosen qualification. At observation, learners are observed for an average of 3 hours per visit (observations are not necessary if the chosen qualification is knowledge units only), which enables our tutors to carefully assess the learner’s practice within the workplace environment. Employers are also asked to contribute to a learner’s training by completing reviews of a learner’s progress. This is an opportunity for employers, learners and tutors to express their feelings about the progress being made with the course. Throughout their training, learners and employers can see the percentage achieved so far by viewing it on their secure, personal Laser®. Contact us:
