10-30 mins a day of cardio will lower the risk of heart disease and will improve your respiratory system ๐Ÿซ€

Resistance training increases bone density therefore you are lest likely to break a bone & strengthens your immune system ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผ

And just working out alone helps with mental health and can put you in a positive mind state as you have something to focus on ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

we donโ€™t get any younger so itโ€™s important that we look after our bodies and build a solid foundation for when we get older we will have less health complications.

Most people claim that they want to lose weight, but is weight loss what you really mean? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

In fact, the majority wish to get rid of their fat, not weight, So whatโ€™s the difference between losing weight vs losing fat?

Weight loss is a decrease in your overall body weight. This includes muscle, fat, and water in your body. Thatโ€™s what your regular scales show you: youโ€™ve simply lost some pounds. โš–๏ธ

Fat loss usually designates a reduction in body fat. This might look like an unnecessary specification, but it is indispensable for understanding the failures and successes people face on their journey to a slimmer and fitter body.

As your weight consists of muscle, fat, and water, you can see your pounds disappear due to the shrinking of one of these elements.

The point is: losing water weight is mostly useless, losing muscle weight is harmful. Only through shedding fat you can unlock the beach body look ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Therefore You need to add lean muscle tissue and reduce the amount of body fat to achieve the defined, fit, toned look that you desire.

Umar came to me wanting guidance in the gym as he was looking to lose some body fat and gain some lean muscle in the process.

I programmed a P/P/L split which was new to him as he was more aquatinted with a bro spilt.

We also discussed his diet, as he loves fast food, we set up a meal plan with the foods he enjoyed and also some foods he was willing to try.

After 3 months of hard work in the gym and adhering to the meal plan he has gone from 80.70kg to 73.70kg ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

We have lost body fat and gained lean muscle like we set out to do โœ…

There Still work to be done, but what he has achieved thus far is amazing!

Itโ€™s easy to make the mistake of putting too much on your plate and not realising that your likely going over your daily calorie intake.

Doing this overtime will be the cause of weight gain.

Not all of us want to be weighing our food out to the very rice grain โš–๏ธ

So a good way to reduce your intake is to have a smaller plate, that way your putting half the amount on that you would usually to fill your plate. ๐Ÿฝ

Give it a go if you struggle with portion control ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Itโ€™s important to have a structure to your workout, that way you can track your progress. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

However sometimes structure can get boring and tedious ๐Ÿฅฑ

So what can we do to make sure we donโ€™t fall off the wagon?

Have no structure, sounds contradictory right! but go and and enjoy all the exercises you love doing.

If you love getting a chest pump, go do exactly that, chase the pump ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

If deadlifts make you happy go and do a session on deadlifts

Then we can return to a structured plan once youโ€™ve got the buzz for training back๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Patty came to me for coaching as she wasnโ€™t getting the desired results in the gym.

So we had a chat about what she wants to achieve and we got busy!

Patty could only commit to one 1-2-1 session per week as she has work commitments and a little one to look after ๐Ÿ‘ถ

I programmed a 3 day home workout plan for her to do around her work and she would often do it in her lunch break ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I also gave her a daily step target of 10k and advised to get between 6-8 hours sleep.

Patty has since lost 14 POUNDS over 3 months and said she feels a lot more confident in her clothes and for the first time is seeing definition and signs of abs and couldnโ€™t be happier โ˜บ๏ธ

Putting Greg through a pull session.

He was up by 40kg on his deadlifts and comfortably moving 100kg.
