EMJ Global Tuition

Today was our last 11+ tutoring session for our 2026 cohort of students. We've worked with over 25 11+ students this year, both in the UK and the Middle East and it's always sad to say 'goodbye'. A huge good luck to our largest cohort - those sitting the Birmingham & Warwickshire test this weekend and we hope all our fabulous Kent and Buckinghamshire students have had a good day today.
This year's cohort have been absolutely phenomenal and we couldn't be prouder of them 😊

Good luck to all our students receiving their GCSE results in the UK and IGCSE results in the Middle East today. Marc has made his predictions on all his students and we're looking forward to hearing how everyone has done 🙂

Happy holidays from me and Marc! We're currently stranded with the kids in France with a broken down car, but we're making the most of things and are looking forward to our groups in a few weeks. We'll get ourselves home somehow. Just maybe not with our car and all our belongings 🤦‍♀️😅

We're really looking forward to them 🙂

What an incredible achievement! Congratulations to our amazing student, Raina, who secured 1st place in her age group across all of Qatar in the International Mathematical Kangaroo competition, a global maths challenge involving students from 92 countries. This success comes only weeks after her exceptional performance in the Challenge Middle East Maths Challenge Final. We couldn't be prouder of you, Raina - keep reaching for the stars! ⭐🎉 Husna Borg

We'll be running our hugely popular summer holiday sessions for the 4th time this summer 5 weeks of KS2 Maths, English and 11+ preparation and 4 weeks of secondary maths (KS3, GCSE/ IGCSE topic and exam prep sessions). Secondary English to follow shortly.
We love this time of year, when our UK and International students have the opportunity to come together.
Additional sessions will be added once these are full 🙂

Here's my analysis of this year's maths SATs papers. Perfect sunny Bank Holiday reading 🤣
Thank you to my students who swapped days to enable me to write this today.

A detailed look at the 2026 SATs maths papers, with insights for Year 6 teachers and Maths Leads on content coverage, difficulty and 2027 preparation.

SATS papers are released tomorrow and I'll be writing my annual maths SATS blog for Third Space Learning , looking at year group coverage, content coverage, question types and anything else of interest. Look out for it tomorrow if you're a Y6 teacher, tutor or parent of a soon to be Y6 child :-)

For all our Year 5 students applying for Alcester Grammar - the school has just released its tickets for the open evening. I'd recommend booking tickets asap as these all went very quickly last year. As a parent, I can't recommend the school enough :-)
