Being qualified doesn’t automatically mean being able to communicate your value.
That is the conversation behind The Voice Gap.
A young person can have the knowledge, qualifications and ideas, yet still struggle to:
* speak confidently in professional spaces
* communicate their strengths
* explain their transferable skills
* contribute in meetings
* network and build relationships
* advocate for themselves
* put themselves forward for opportunities
* translate what they know into language others can understand
This doesn’t mean you lack ability. Sometimes, there is simply a gap between having something to say and knowing how to say it. When someone asks, “What do you actually bring?” you don’t know how to answer.
That’s the Voice Gap.
It’s the gap between what you know and what you can communicate, express and demonstrate.
And that gap matters, because leadership requires a voice.
Opportunity often requires self-advocacy.
Collaboration requires communication.
And impact requires the ability to move an idea from your head into the room.
