Act4Hunger Thank you very much for your amazing donations... you have been very generous! This will help make a real difference to our families in need.
Mohanji ACT Foundation UK is dedicated to caring for all life on earth. They support projects both in the UK
and abroad and their activities include providing food and clothing to the homeless, food for school children,
environmental projects, and health care. The charity also supports people afflicted by natural disasters
and has sent food, clothes, blankets, medical supplies and temporary shelters, e.g. Serbia floods, Nepal
earthquake, Philippines hurricane, etc. The charity works on projects, which serve humanity, helping the
helpless, giving dignity to the poor, showing kindness and compassion to the less fortunate.
Their vision is to support as many projects as possible to improve the environment for humans and provide food and shelter for wildlife too.
What an amazing charity!!

What a wonderful way to end half term. The Year 5 pod have worked amazingly over the past 6 weeks and for their topic work, they have designed and made pizzas! I can’t think of a better way to enjoy them than eating them watching the movie version of a book they have been reading. Huge thanks to Mr Digpal and Miss Kirkman!

We are really proud of all of the staff who have tonight collectively reached John O'Groats - travelling more than 1089 miles in just 25 days! We have also raised £350, and we are spending all of the money on the children to help with home learning in a variety of ways. If you would like to donate to our cause, please use the link below. Thanks to all who have donated already!

The kindness shown during these tough times is amazing. Shae and his family have been in touch wanting to help. His family, and dad’s work colleagues have just donated this incredible amount of food! ‘Thank you’ doesn’t show our appreciation enough!

All of the staff at Cedars Academy have been working incredibly hard to support home learning and the children at school, but would like to do even more! To support staff mental and physical wellbeing through these difficult times, together we are going to undertake an enormous challenge... to collectively walk, run and cycle the length of Britain - from Lands End to John O'Groats... 1089 miles! Every member of staff will contribute to the goal which we want to achieve by February half term, and we hope to raise money along the way. All money raised will be used to support our families and children who are working so well at home. Please donate so we can continue to help!

Parents- we are here to help!
The teachers have been working hard creating video lessons and from Monday we will be delivering live lessons! We know how difficult this period is for the children, so structure, education and the familiarity of seeing their teacher and friends can help them feel safe. Creating a routine for your child is essential for their mental wellbeing. We have already lent almost 100 Chromebooks, so if you have any issues in accessing online learning, please get in touch with us at school- we’re here to help!
(Sorry for the photo but it’s too good not to share!)

‘Someone at Cedars Academy thought you deserved a Christmas treat!’ We’ve had incredibly generous donations, and wonderfully thoughtful nominations, and the hampers have been made. Miss H, Miss P and Miss I have been out delivering these over the past few days. Thank you Miss Hodgins for organising this and Mrs Stevens and Miss Titchen for making the hampers.
