It’s live… for my Childminder colleagues 💚

📢 New free safeguarding training for early years educators

The Department for Education, in partnership with the NSPCC, has launched a new online safeguarding training package for the early years sector.

The training covers sections 1 and 2 of the safeguarding training annex within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. It is free to access and suitable for all early years practitioners.

Ahead of today’s big game, Jude Bellingham and Morgan Rogers managed to squeeze in a quick visit to LMC Childminding! ⚽️❤️🤍🤭

They heard we had the best team spirit in Birmingham… and they weren’t wrong! 😄

Now it’s over to the real England squad. We’ll be cheering every kick, every tackle and every goal from home. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁

Meet the Team Behind HEART 💚

Over the past couple of weeks, we've been introducing the dedicated partners who work together to support high-quality early years practice across the West Midlands and beyond.

Next up is Claire Fitzgerald, Hub Partner, LMC Childcare Solutions 👋

"I am an Early Years leader based in Birmingham, with over 20 years’ experience working across the sector. I run a successful childminding provision with a dedicated team of staff, alongside working as a Partner and EYSPA Lead for the HEART Midlands Early Years Stronger Practice Hub."

Through this role, I support practitioners and childminders across the region through networking, professional development, and evidence-informed practice. I am passionate about championing the childminding sector, promoting equity for all children, and strengthening high-quality early years practice across the wider sector.

🫶 We're proud to work alongside passionate leaders like Claire who are helping to strengthen the early years community across the West Midlands.

🌺 Our Last Aloha… 🎓🌈

The garden is ready… the decorations are up… and somehow, tomorrow our little graduates become school children. 🥹💜

Every year I tell myself I won’t get emotional… and every year I do.

These incredible children have filled our days with laughter, cuddles, curiosity, muddy puddles, endless questions and memories that will stay with us forever. Watching them grow from tiny toddlers into confident, kind and independent little people has been the greatest privilege.

Tomorrow we celebrate everything they’ve achieved before we wave them off on their next big adventure. They’ll always be part of the LMC family, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of them.

So here’s to one last Aloha together… 🌺

Once an LMC child, always an LMC child. 💜
