If you have privilege in Autism spaces - use it to make room, not take up space.
Maybe youβre non-autistic.
Maybe you're a parent, a professional, or someone without lived experience.
Thatβs privilege.
And with that comes a responsibility:
π To listen more than you speak.
π To center Autistic voices, not speak over them.
π To believe Autistic people when we share our needs and experiences.
Being an ally isnβt about leading the conversation - itβs about making sure those with lived experience are finally heard. π π
[ID: Against a grape background, with the Reframing Autism logo in the upper left corner and the colourful knotwork in the lower left corner, white text reads, 'Having privilege means we can - and should - step back and listen to those without the same
privilege.]
