Good morning toddlers๐Ÿ˜Š

Today the toddlers are having fun taking part in a water play activity which involves making flower potions๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒบ

The toddlers were able to use their imagination whilst exploring in the potion tuff tray using petals, stems and flowers. Furthermore, the children were encouraged and supported by adults to fill up their containers with water, flowers and petals and to then mix all the contents together using spoons and to then smell their flower potions and describe how they smell such as โ€œsweet, freshโ€.

The children were then encouraged to empty their potions into the turf tray.Furthermore, the children were able to repeat key words based on the activity by members of staff, to help extend on their vocabulary. The children really enjoyed the activity as they got to express their feelings to a member of staff of what they are doing.

Range 3:

Communication and language

Speaking:uses different types of everyday words (nouns, verbs and adjectives, e.g. banana, go, sleep, hot)
Beginning to put two words together (e.g. Want ball, More juice)
Understanding:Selects familiar objects by name and will go and find objects when asked, or identify objects from a group.
Understands simple sentences (e.g. Throw the ball)
Physical development:moving and handling

Hands start to operate independently during a task that uses both, with each hand doing something different at the same time (e.g. holding a block in one hand and steadying the other block with the other hand.
Mathematics:spatial awareness

Enjoys filling and emptying containers
The world

Is curious and interested to explore new and familiar experiences in nature: grass, mud, puddles, plants, animal life.

We have some wonderful news to share. As many of you are aware we were inspected by OFSTED recently. I am pleased to announce...

๐ŸŽŠTeenie Blooms has received a GOOD!!!!๐ŸŽŠ

I would like to thank all the staff for all their hard work and each of you for working with us. We are a young nursery with big goals and I believe by continuing to work together we will achieve them.

On a personal note, the last two months have been especially difficult for me due to a family bereavement, but my amazing staff team and all your lovely children have kept me motivated to keep going.

Thank you so muchโค

Good Morning! ๐Ÿค—

Babies have been making their very own musical instruments ๐Ÿฅ

To make the instruments we used recycled plastic water bottles and natural resources such as rice lentils and pasta. The babies enjoyed feeling the texture of the thingโ€™s we used. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

We also added some glitter to give their new shakers some sparkle โœจ

30/09/2022

Today we will be creating our very own autumnal pictures to put up on our walls in our classroom. The cold, dark mornings are here, with late, but beautiful sunrises and toddler team are here for it ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒ…๐Ÿ˜.

We will also be learning a cute new song so listen out for that being repeated at home ๐ŸŽผ ๐Ÿ โ˜บ๏ธ

Babies have been exploring their very own spaghetti junction๐Ÿš— and have been using their sensory touch to feel the texture of spaghetti and lentils. Theyโ€™ve had a lot of fun ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

โค๏ธRIP Queen Elizabethโค๏ธ

As a setting we would like to take this moment to thank the queen for her commitments, services and achievements. We will join in mourning her death while remembering the impact she had on the world. Over the next week, we will celebrate her life through activities and circle times.

On this note, I would like to take this opportunity to speak all about why it is important to speak to children about death as it can help children to feel secure and supported. Also, gives them a sense of understanding.

Here are some activity examples to support this tragic loss with children:

-Messy play and painting allow children to demonstrate their feelings and emotions through actions.

-Role play as this enables children to express their thoughts and feelings in actions and recreate scenes they have heard about or witnessed.

-Reading books around a range of emotions allow children to understand it is okay to feel a range of emotions.

If you would like more support or guidance on this please clink onto the attached link below.

Weโ€™re going to experience this time differently and personally, I kindly request we remember to take care of one another.

Kind regards,

Mariam
