💡Student Spotlight💡

A huge well done to Callum in Year 12 for his incredible support and encouragement during his Reader Leader mentoring.

Thanks to his dedication, the students reading age has increased by an incredible 6 years! A fantastic achievement and wonderful example of the positive impact these sessions make.

Thank you to Mrs Newton in the Library for running these amazing sessions and all the Sixth Formers who take part as mentors. Results from a recent assessment saw majority of Year 8 students reading ages increase by at least 2 years! 📚

April Roundup✨🌷

Some of our Year 12 Biologists and Criminology students visited Wolverhampton University for a Forensic Sciences Masterclass. They lifted fingerprints from drink bottles, analysed the different print patterns and learned the secure way to collect evidence of ever used in court! They even visited a crime secrnr house where possible crimes had taken place to assess evidence and discuss their different ideas of suspects and possible motives.

Our OCR Sport students went hill climbing at the Lickey Hills. As you can see they were very happy to complete their assessment!
