Magic Moments are looking for a Senior Nursery nurse/ Team leader to join our team in Barnt Green. Ideally for Preschool age group.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners
-Plan and deliver engaging early years activities in line with the EYFS framework
-Ensure a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all children
- Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers
- Support staff development and progress
-Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies
Requirements
• Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or above)
• Previous nursery experience, ideally in a senior or room leader role
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
• Experience supporting children with additional needs (preferred but not essential)
• Ideally looking for a working pattern of 4/5 days, hours and days are negotiable

This month we would like to give a shout out to Nita!

Nita has worked at Magic Moments as the Nursery Housekeeper for nearly 9 years. Over the past few years Nita has also helped with the nursery accounts. Most recently, During Lydia Maternity leave, Nita has helped the management team with nursery admin.

Nita provides high standards of cleaning with an attention to detail ensuring a clean safe environment for everyone.

Nita has built in confidence and learned new skills quickly in the admin role. Nita is organised, very efficient and has a positive, productive attitude.

So, a HUGE well done to Nita.

Staff Shout May 2026

This month we would like to give a shout out to Breen!
Breen worked at Magic Moments back in 2019 and returned back to Nursery two and half years ago. Breen holds a level 3 childcare qualification and has experience working with all age groups.

Breen is an excellent practitioner with a kind caring nature. Breen is always willing to offer a helping hand, and the children’s best interest is always at the heart of everything she does.

You are a credit to the Magic Moments team!

Magic Momens Team

Yesterday was time to say goodbye to our chicks, they had grown so big and was time to be moved to their new home on the farm.

The children really enjoyed watching the chicks hatch and grow and learned so much from the experience.

Next week the older children will be learning about the life cycle of a frog!

Over the past few weeks Magic Moments have been learning about the life cycle of a chicken using the Living eggs ready hatch programme. The children were so excited to see the eggs hatch and learn how to look after the chicks!

This month we would like to give a shout out to Carmel!
Carmel has worked at Magic Moments for nearly 13 years and holds a Level 3 childcare qualification as well as a Level 2 team leading qualification.

Carmel has a positive attitude, always has a smile on her face with a bubbly enthusiastic personality.

Carmel is our dedicated nursery SENCO who goes above and beyond in the setting to support children with additional needs. Carmel is very passionate about inclusion and supporting children and families to ensure our children who need extra support reach their full potential.

You are a real asset to the Magic Moments team and make such a difference to our families with the support and guidance you give!

Children have enjoyed Easter themed activities and outdoor play at the school during the holidays.
