Spreading Love πŸ’–

For valentine's our children had great fun exploring real life materials using their curious minds to develop their language development whilst communicating with their Peers at nursery and staff ❀

Our children were able to develop their small motor skills and develop an understanding on textures. Our big learners spoke about the different sizes of their hands and learnt numeral language to count their fingers, whilst developing their understanding on different sizes and difference between small and big😊

πŸŽ…Christmas Wreath πŸŽ…

A wreath is an ornament made from flowers leafs twigs and other natural materials, our children have created these amazing wreaths using their awe and wonder during decorating and exploring with materials.

Children used their small motor skills when gluing and sticking the natural materials on the wreath, through this activity they developed sharing and turn taking skills whilst playing alongside each other.

We had lots of fun!!!

Bonfire πŸŽ†
Children have created bonfire scenes on white paper using orange and yellow paint to mimic flames. Using straws to blow paint, was a way to help develop fine motor skills and control.
Staff encouraged language by speaking to children about the colors, shapes, and bonfire night experiences enhances their vocabulary skills. Additionally painting and creating bonfire scenes allowed children to express their ideas and feelings through art. Moreover, staff talked about bonfire night traditions and safety teaches children about cultural events and how to stay safe.

🌎Climate Change 🌎
Little Earth savers in action! Toddlers created their own Earths using green and blue water paint, symbolizing our planet's beauty. With paintbrushes and syringes, they explored different textures and techniques, bringing their Earths to life. Through discussion and art, they learned about the importance of protecting our planet and explored how waste in water impacts climate change, fostering early awareness and eco-friendly values. 🌍

πŸ‚Autumn Walk πŸ‚

The children were able to go on their autumn walk to collect natural resources so that they could talk about what they found later on.

The practitioners created a sensory tuff tray to allow the children to talk about the natural resources that they were playing with and have collected at the park.

Children were able to develop their mathematical and literacy skills while talking about all the things they have seen on their way, which enables them to learn about their surroundings.

Self Portraits πŸ–Ό

In September we have focussed on the topic
'All About Me'.

Children discussed and learned about themselves, the differences between them and their peers and took part in making self portraits which focussed on who they are and what do they look like.

Children were able to create their very on self portraits by looking at themselves in the mirror using the dominant hand grasp while talking about their emotions and feelings.
