Following our 6-week break, it’s been lovely welcoming the children back, along with some new faces! 💕✨
The children have settled back beautifully, enjoying lots of opportunities to play, explore and learn together. It’s been lovely welcoming some new faces and seeing old friendships reunited as the children build new connections 💕

We’ve enjoyed balancing, movement, sensory and creative activities, supporting the children’s confidence, independence and development through play 🎨🤸‍♀️🌱

We can’t wait for more fun, learning and special moments together! ✨💗

✨🎓 To Our Class of 2026… 🎓✨

Today, we said goodbye to a group of children who have completely stolen our hearts. 💕

Our 2026 graduates have been the funniest, craziest, loudest, kindest and most loving little bunch, and our nursery won’t be the same without them.

You’ve filled our days with endless laughter, hilarious one-liners, messy adventures, cuddles when we needed them most, and memories we’ll be talking about for years to come. Every single one of you has brought something so special to Play Box, and you’ve left footprints on our hearts that will never fade. 👣❤️

Watching you grow from shy little faces into confident, funny, caring and independent children has been the greatest privilege. We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved, and we know you’ll continue to shine as you begin your next adventure at school. 🌟📚

Although we’re so excited for what’s ahead, saying goodbye is never easy. Preschool will feel quieter, the garden won’t sound quite the same, and we’ll miss your big personalities, your endless energy and the love you brought with you every single day. 🥹

To our wonderful families, thank you for trusting us with your precious children. Thank you for letting us be part of their early years and for sharing this incredible journey with us. It has truly been an honour. 💖

To our beautiful graduates… keep dreaming big, keep being yourselves, keep making people laugh, and never lose the sparkle that makes you who you are. We know you’re going to do amazing things.

You’ll always be part of the Play Box family, and there will always be a special place for you in our hearts. 💕

With all our love,

Play Box Nursery 💖👣

🐄🌾 Farm Fun! 🌾🐄

Last week, we had a fantastic trip to Hatton Farm, where the children enjoyed meeting lots of different farm animals and learning all about life on the farm.

This week, we brought the farm to nursery! 🐷🐑🐥 The children have loved exploring our farm-themed tuff trays, matching animals and their babies, getting messy with sensory play, practising their mark making, and sharing farm stories together.

It has been a lovely way to continue the excitement from our farm visit while developing communication, fine motor skills, and imaginative play through lots of fun, hands-on activities🐷🤍.

🐸✨ Nursery Week Highlights ✨🐸

This week we hopped into learning with our favourite nursery rhyme, “5 Little Speckled Frogs”! 💚

The children had so much fun exploring the song through a range of creative and messy activities. We explored through sensory play, Jelly play and splashing around in our water activities 💦 whilst busy learning through play. These activities helped develop counting skills, language, creativity, fine motor skills, and lots of imagination—all while having plenty of fun!

Swipe to see some of our little frogs in action! 🐸💚
