What a fantastic few days in North Wales!

Last weekend we completed the pilot delivery of our Search Technician course in partnership with the brilliant team at Outreach Rescue and what a course it was! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Our delegates from Serve-On and Outreach Rescue were absolutely superb, throwing themselves into every discussion, bringing great knowledge and real passion for search and showing excellent skills across both search techniques and methods.

It was a genuine pleasure to work with such an engaged and capable group.

And the venue? Honestly brilliant!

Outreach Rescue’s facilities are top-notch, great classrooms, indoor and outdoor training areas and fantastic food and accommodation to keep everyone going.

We couldn’t have asked for a better home for this course!

We’re really excited about what lies ahead with this partnership and if developing your skills in lost and missing person search is on your radar, then please keep an eye out for future course dates at Outreach Rescue.

Ideas, creativity, enthusiasm and cooperation were all present over this weekend as L&MPS International came together in London to discuss and plan the future of our organisation and to identify development and delivery opportunities for our clients, partners and colleagues.

L&MPS International is a mission driven company ‘to provide assurance in search,’
and not just a catalogue of services.

Proactive in seeking to make recognisable improvements to search & rescue policy, learning and the operational response to incidents involving lost and missing persons, we work to make a difference.

My thanks to Nick, Leigh, Phil and the entire HUMBSAR team for the opportunity to join them at their Open Day this weekend and for providing L&MPS International a chance to present on our Search & Rescue (SAR) experiences in the UK & abroad, alongside an overview on the development of Search Assurance to date.

It’s always a privilege to make a contribution to any new SAR service and I was suitably impressed by what I saw at HUMBSAR.

I wish them every success for the future as they continue to build & develop and I am sure they will prove to be an invaluable asset for their community and SAR partners.

My thanks to all the organisers and attendees at this year’s UK Overseas Territories Search & Rescue (OTSAR) Workshop in Miami and for inviting L&MPS International Ltd. to once again present as a guest speaker.

It was a pleasure to catch-up with all those friends and SAR colleagues who attended the event and witness their dedication, expertise and willingness to collaborate that made this workshop a success.

L&MPS International’s theme this year was ‘Teaching Not Preaching,’ emphasising the importance of training being a collaborative effort, where those delivering instruction in partnership with those receiving ensures that the results are contextualised to meet the operational need.

By working together, we strengthen the services that save lives and provide safety to both rescuers and those in need.

L&MPS International would once again like to wish a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our clients, followers and all those involved in the response to lost & missing person incidents across the world.

It’s been a busy 2025 for ourselves, with attendance in the United States, Caribbean, Europe and United Kingdom.

As 2026 approaches, we look forward to another productive 12 months with new contacts, partners, customers, course developments and continuing our mission to provide support to those individuals and organisations who want to ensure a professional level of response to search (and rescue) incidents wherever they might be.

West Cumbria SAR - L&MPS Search Technician Training
