The best preparation for school isn't about getting your child to read as quickly as possible. It’s about helping them become confident, curious, independent little learners who are ready to listen, communicate, join in and have a go. 🌈✨
What matters just as much — and also forms the foundations for later reading — is developing those important communication, listening and social skills.
Before school, encourage your child to:
👂 Listen carefully – building attention and concentration helps children follow along during stories, conversations and activities.
🗣️ Join in confidently – encourage them to share ideas, answer questions and have conversations with others.
📚 Love learning – make books, stories, rhymes and learning fun rather than something they feel pressured to achieve.
👉 Follow instructions – simple instructions help children become more independent and ready to take part in classroom activities.
🤝 Take turns and share – developing social skills helps children build relationships, play cooperatively and feel confident in a busy classroom.
We focus on devoping each of these skills (and more!) at our classss, so why not come along and join the fun in September!
Some classes are very nearly full so be quick if you're wanting a space 🤩
