Single Word Use with Rainbow Feathers ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙💜

Baby Room are practicing their single word use and in the process enjoyed some bright sensory play too. Our children have had great fun exploring their colours, discussing textures e.g. hard and soft and have even practiced their physical skills throwing these up in the air.

Today our Pre-School have been busy celebrating St. Patrick's Day 💚🧡

The children have been working on their independence and self help skills through placing on their own aprons ready for their craft activity and reading books about this celebration and the traditions surrounding this, before making their own St Patrick's Day Masks. 🌈

A big round of applause for our Superstars...

Gabby is our July Superstar- As well as showing continued support across two rooms currently she has been an excellence extension for support for our children who have additional needs in the setting. She is always doing all she can to ensure our children are happy and comfortable whilst with us in the setting. Thank you Gabby!

Mia is our August Superstar- As one of our apprentices Mia has shown great skills over the last few weeks really finding her feet and using her initiative and all she has learnt whilst being with us. Thank you Mia!

Lauren K is our September Superstar- Lauren has moved rooms from our lovely Pre-schoolers to the baby room in order to spread her skills across a different age range. She has been great at setting up exciting and creative activities across the two rooms and taking on a new and exciting adventure. Thank you Lauren!

Samuel is our October Superstar- Sam has been a consistent staff member here at Butterflies since he started with us in February . He spends time in all of our rooms but is mainly based with our Babies. He has been a great support to our team and is always open to learning new skills and has been a friendly face for our children. Thank you Sam!

Just take a little look at our beautiful babies taking on roles in their self-care activity looking and caring for the baby dolls.

Here at Butterflies we want to encourage independence from a very early age from giving two spoons at meal times to encouraging tooth brushing in the day.

This is a great activity to try at home with your little ones too to see if they can recognise their own key features such as eyes, nose, mouth and hair.
