Small Talking Hands We absolutely LOVED todays session, thank you 🙏
This term, we are looking forward to our sessions with Full Of Beans Sports and Fitness South Wirral, Kidslingo Spanish West Wirral, and Small Talking Hands. We have been focussing on our topic ‘all about me’ for the beginning of term and we are all enjoying the changing season and beginning of Autumn. We will be visiting a local nursing home during October and having various sessions where parents can come and stay and play during this term. So much planned…can we have more days in the week please! 🌹🍂⭐️

🍂Last week we had our first Autumn treasure hunt walk. The children enjoyed exploring the different textures and seeing what natural resources they could find to take back to Nursery. The children developed lots of skills and we talked about how to keep ourselves safe when we are outside. 🍂

Go team 👏 thank you ‘above all first aid’ quality paediatric first aid course and instructor 💯

This was a little while ago, but this activity always goes down a treat!
Children today enjoyed creating their own homemade pizzas from the food products available. If a child has a allergy or a preference they are still catered for and join in the fun. We love promoting independence and giving children the opportunity to build their confidence and self esteem.

We are supporting the children to become independent learners, offering them opportunities where we show them that we believe in their capabilities, therefore enabling the children to develop self belief and confidence-fundamental skills for future learning.

The children have enjoyed the summer spa today, we could smell the oranges and they used their skills to transport the water and water beads between objects as well as through the sieve. This offered wonderful opportunities for the children to interact with each other constructing new understanding to support their learning 🌹 🍊 🍋 🌸 🌺

Home made natural yoghurt and banana ice lolly’s, water play and sun shades 😎 keeping it cool at Rose Tree today 🌹

Our pre-schoolers made us very proud last week for their leaving ceremony, they looked super cool in their tie dye T-shirts that they made themselves and all the hard work with their teacher Jeni for their performance definitely paid off! You were all brilliant ⭐️

👉Did you know that going to a Primary Schools nursery pre-school DOES NOT guarantee your child a place there for reception? The Local Authority make the decision on what children are enrolled into which schools. The school doesn’t see your application!
💛 Children usually start school during the academic year that they turn 5, this means your child can stay in a Nursery based setting until this point.
⭐️Our preschool team are focussed on school readiness in a nurturing, homely setting. We will provide your child with the toolkit to start school.
Have you carefully considered the positives and negatives of both a nursery pre-school and a primary school pre-school?
What kind of setting will your child most thrive in?
✅ At Nursery, we can offer flexible sessions-even 10 hours per day!
❌ You cannot get this flexibility at a Primary preschool.
✅We have a qualified teacher at the head of our preschool, we keep our ratio at 1 staff to 8 children. This ensures your child can always access nurturing support in an educative setting.
❌In a Primary preschool this ratio is likely to be 1 staff to every 13 children, that means 2 staff with 26 3-4 year olds 😯
✅We can stretch your hours so as your child can attend during half terms ⭐️
❌ Primary schools are completely closed outside of terms time so this is not an option!
✅ We focus on the individual needs and interests of your child, your child is allocated a key worker based on the rapport they naturally show with a practitioner. We have the flexibility to do this as we have a higher staff to child ratio 🙌
❌ In a class of 26 children at a Primary preschool, it could be difficult to get the attention of one of the two members of staff.
Preschool should be a natural transition between the toddler years and starting school.
Listen to your instincts-you know what’s best for your child!

🇬🇧We had a wonderful time for our Jubilee Picnic last week, we had a fantastic visit from A-Z Safari Parties which we are very thankful for, they were amazing!
🎂Parents brought so many lovely cakes and we had refreshing fruit infused water and cucumber sandwiches.
🌹Parents joined in some activities with their children and some came and had a look inside Nursery at the children's progress books.
🌹 Thank you to everyone who came. 🌹

Cool as a cucumber 😎 👸 🤴
The children have enjoyed visiting the 'Royal Spa' today, a bit of rest and relaxation before the jubilee celebrations and for recognising holistic wellbeing ❤️ 😎 ❤️

National bee 🐝 day 🍯 2022
The child's voice following their learning opportunities today:
💬 "bee sits on flower, they get all the pollen off mix it all up and then there's honey!" Preschool child age 4.
Followed by a bit of honey tasting and fine motor skill development 🍯

The Sunflowers 🌻 are growing and the caterpillars are busy eating their food ready to turn into beautiful butterfly's 🦋
"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn"-Benjamin Franklin.
Our children are exploring life cycles as a main theme this Summer term, we are promoting lived experiences to support children to have solidified learning experiences. 🌹
We want our children to learn to be confident communicators
💬We've been learning Spanish with Jo from Kidslingo 💬
We can't wait until next Thursday!

During a playdough activity
🗨The child's voice🗨- "I'm makin bird cake look seeds in it". Pre-Schooler.
Communication and language is a fundamental part of children's development, we want children to learn to feel confident enough to express their thoughts and ideas, with us and with each other!

🌻 Continuing with learning about life cycles🌻
We just love our sensory pod! This is a space the children can use independently or for guided activity with their keyworker.
It can sometimes become overwhelming being super busy all day, especially if we are missing people who are special to us. This space offers opportunity to re-balance, become emotionally regulated in a quiet space and have one to one time with keyworkers.
We want to provide children with lovely things which fill up their emotional cups. A full emotional cup is essential to improve focus and reduce occasions of emotional disregulation.

An all natural sensory tray, opening opportunities to explore the colour red, different textures and there was even some frozen watermelon! The children demonstrated skills picking up very small berries, and full hand grasping into the jelly 😅
Plenty of fun and lots of extending questions to support the children to further their skills 🌹

Here's a bit of Easter appreciation for the fabulously amazing Rose Tree Team, enjoy your Easter weekend 🐣 you absolute superstars 🌟

⭐️The process of learning often happens when there is little disruption, the children are freely exploring materials and resources in their own way.
🌹The process is arguably much more important than the product at the end of the activity.🌹
It is said that Nursery staff can place too much focus on end products...
With all things considered, we feel that a family receiving a 'painted footprint' (for example) stamped onto a card for an occasion can be just as important too! Who doesn't want a keepsake like that! We value how special it is to receive all types of 'end products' home.
What do you think?
Here is an Easter card one of our pre-schoolers made 🐥🥚
Also pictured is 'the process' of a tuff tray activity 😊
