Dan has extensive drumming experience, having attained Grade 8 at the age of 17, completing a Master Performance Course at Drum Tech College in London, and touring with Rugby based band "Sp

eak, Brother," performing on BBC Radio 2. He also co-wrote their 2018 full length debut album, "Young and Brave." Dan offers Graded instruction (RSL), having 100% pass rate, however lessons are tailored to student's interests, ability, learning style and personal goals. He has a great ability to make students feel relaxed, maximising enjoyment while focusing on musical development.

He has experience teaching students with autism, anxiety, ADHD and various physical and learning difficulties. LOCATION:

We can’t believe that our end of term show with Rising Tides Music Centre at The Cavern Club Liverpool is tomorrow! It’s pretty much a sellout show and expecting almost 300 in attendance throughout the day!

Thanks to everyone who’s been involved. It’s been a crazy journey getting here but so glad we did it!

We have more amazing plans to develop our programme and look forward to the future. Please get in touch if you’re interested in signing up with us 🙂

Hi all,

We are so excited to announce "Cascade Music Tuition", our fully fledged music school!

We are committed to creating THE hub for music on the Wirral and believe this to be the next logical step in moving in this direction.

Alongside the other programs and initiatives we offer, Cascade Music Tuition will serve as an integrated aspect of our whole plan to develop a music community that will continue the amazing legacy that the Wirral (and Merseyside) has for music.

With the introduction of Cascade Music Tuition, we now have as part of our services:

Dan Smith School of Drums (drum tuition)
Rising Tides Music Centre (youth band workshop)
Overflow Audio (two high end recording studios)
Cascade Music Tuition (music lessons)
Current (artist development)

2025 was an amazing year for growth, but we predict 2026 to be our best year to date. We are excited to see the many ways in which what we offer can springboard the music careers of our community.
