Welcome to Team OA Katy Smith 🙌🏻🖤

We can’t wait for what’s in store and are super excited to have you join us! ✨

A little bit from KT:

I’m super excited to be joining the amazing teaching team at Ockerby Academy! 🕺🏽

I’m KT Smith, a professional dancer, choreographer, judge and teacher, with experience working across the UK and beyond. Some of my career credits include working with Alex Warren, Free Your Mind, Nike and more.

I started dancing at just 5 years old and have trained in a wide range of styles including Commercial, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Afro and more. I also hold a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Professional & Commercial Dance from Shockout Arts.

Alongside performing and choreographing professionally, I love teaching and sharing the knowledge, experience and passion I’ve gained throughout my career with the next generation of dancers.

I’m so excited to be joining the Ockerby Academy family, getting to know all of the dancers and helping them grow, develop, build confidence and most importantly, enjoy the journey! ❤️

I can’t wait to get started and see you all in class! 🔥

Let’s dance! 🕺🏽✨

Another HUGE shout out to our Theatre Competition Teams 👏
We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of these guys! What a day of hard work, determination and amazing performances! 🥹🖤

🥇 7 x 1st
🥈 7 x 2nd
🥉 8 x 3rd
4️⃣ 7 x 4th
5️⃣ 5 x 5th
6️⃣ 1 x 6th

So many brilliant results across the whole team, you should all be so so proud of yourselves! But remember it’s not just about the medals it’s about taking part, giving your best and enjoying the whole experience.✨ Winning is great, but the real value comes from challenging yourself, stepping out of that comfort zone, seeing that confidence growth, supporting your team mates and other dancers, making memories and being proud that you had the courage to get up their and dance your heart out.💥🖤

You guys never fail to amaze me 🖤✨
