🎓 99% PASS RATE — AND WE COULDN’T BE PROUDER. 🎓

As results continue to come in, we are absolutely delighted to share that every result received so far has been phenomenal.

TES reports that grades for maths and English are down nationally for the 5th year in a row.

Across A-Level, GCSE and Functional Skills, our students have achieved a 99% pass rate in:

✨ English Language
✨ English Literature
✨ Mathematics
✨ Biology, Chemistry & Physics
✨ Functional Skills English — Levels 1 & 2
✨ Functional Skills Maths — Levels 1 & 2

But for us, the most important part of these results is who they represent.

These successes have come from students in mainstream school receiving just an hour or two of additional tuition each week.

They’ve come from EOTAS students, whose education has needed to look very different.

They’ve come from school refusers, for whom simply re-engaging with learning has sometimes been an achievement in itself.

And they’ve come from our full-time home-educated students, who have taken a completely different route to their qualifications.

Different young people.
Different circumstances.
Different educational pathways.

The same belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed.

For some of our students, a pass was expected. For others, it represents overcoming enormous barriers to education. And for some, the grades achieved have gone far beyond expectations.

We are incredibly proud of every single one of them — and of the tutors who have supported, encouraged and believed in them along the way. ❤️

At The Tutor Boss, we don’t believe there is one “right” way to access education. We build provision around the young person — whether that’s targeted tuition alongside school, EOTAS, support following school refusal, or a complete home-education programme.

🎉 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR STUDENTS! 🎉

Results are coming in and we are absolutely THRILLED! 💚

So far, our students have smashed previous years’ results, with some achieving an incredible THREE GRADES HIGHER than their predicted grades! 🌟

We know that results are about so much more than numbers on a page. Behind every grade are hours of hard work, determination, resilience and, sometimes, a student who simply needed someone to believe in what they were capable of.

Today, we are incredibly proud. 💚

A huge well done to every one of our students receiving results today — and a massive thank you to our brilliant tutors and the families who have supported them along the way.

In October last year I decided to prep my just turned 14 year old for her English Language GCSE.

Today she got a grade 9. She sat her exam having fractured her spine at T12 in a riding accident only 5 days prior. It took her HOURS to complete the paper.

She wasn’t in school due to medical issues. She didn’t study for hours on end as she wasn’t able to. Three hours a week of targeted tuition by me and her sister (who has an English degree).

Good tuition can really change your grade. She wasn’t even in top set when she was at school and was assessed at 3 grades below this.

Well done True!!

GCSE RESULTS TOMORROW! ✨

After months of hard work, determination, revision and probably more than a few nerves, GCSE Results Day is finally almost here! 🎓

Tomorrow is a big day for so many of our students and families, and everyone at The Tutor Boss will be thinking of you as you open those results.

Remember, your results are important — but they are only one part of your story. Whatever is written on that piece of paper tomorrow, there are always options, different routes and exciting opportunities ahead.

For today: try to relax, get some sleep and be incredibly proud that you made it to this point. 💛

That’s a wrap, Year 11 💙

What a year it’s been!

Some of our students have been with us for the last three years.
We’ve watched confidence grow, grades improve, friendships form and futures take shape.

We’ve celebrated successes, worked through challenges and spent countless hours together around kitchen tables, online lessons and revision sessions.

To every one of our Year 11 students:
Thank you for letting us be part of your journey. We’re incredibly proud of you.

October 2025, I made the difficult decision to remove my daughter Truly from school.

Truly suffers from the rare genetic condition Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which affects all the connective tissue in her body. It causes chronic pain, subluxations and dislocations, fatigue, digestive issues, stomach problems, eye complications and more.

She also lives with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), experiences fainting episodes, permanent tinnitus, vertigo and migraines. She has narcolepsy, autism and ADHD too — as though all of that wasn’t already enough for one child to carry.

By the time she left school, her health was deteriorating and her anxiety was at an all-time high due to bullying because ‘you don’t look ill you’re lying’. She could no longer continue in an environment that was breaking her down physically and emotionally.

Today, aged just 14, Truly sat her English GCSE.

At school, she was working at an assessed Grade 5/6. Under my guidance through home education, she is now working securely at a Grade 8/9 — and she absolutely deserves every bit of that success.

But what makes today even more extraordinary is that on Saturday, Truly fractured her spine at T12 after being thrown from her horse. She was treated in Resus by the trauma team and has barely been able to walk since.

She still refused to miss her exam.

So today, I’m not being private. Today, I’m shouting about her. Because resilience like this deserves to be seen.

I could not be prouder of you, Truly.You deserve every accolade. 💕

Classes begin in June for current Yr9 going into 10 and Yr10 going into 11.
