I was asked to make a very special item recently. A lovely local lady gave me her own wedding dress, to cut up and make a robe out of, for her daughter to wear whilst getting ready on the day of her own wedding! I was terrified to cut into the wedding dress, but was really pleased with the end result. I’ve just found out that the daughter was delighted with the sentiment and also with her new robe. Something old … fabric, something new… robe, something borrowed - unfortunately I couldn’t help with! but something blue… is a tiny blue ribbon bow on the back of the belt 😊🥰
