Open 7.00 - 17.00 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday all year around I used to work in a nursery in Washington, I completed a NVQ level 3 there and loved working with children and the joy that they bring. Each day is so different and its incredible how the children c

hange and develop in the space of time you are with them. So now I’m returning to childcare, a little bit older with a lot more experience, I really hope that you will enjoy my setting I have made for the children where they can have fun, feel safe and valued. I have great knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, I have recently completed extra training, CACHE level 3 in homebased childcare to ensure I’m up to date with all the new requirements and I look forward to helping children develop and grow into happy, confident children. My training and qualifications;
• NVQ level 3 in Childcare
• CACHE level 3 in homebased childcare
• Paediatric first aid training
• Child safeguarding training
• Food hygiene certificate level 2
• NVQ level 2 in Health and Social care
• Training in behaviour management
• Alternative and Augmentative communication systems training

Some updates of what we have been up to. After the holiday the children were busy getting ready for father's day. Our caterpillars arrived so we are looking forward to watching them grow. It's national giraffe day so we enjoyed the story 'giraffes can't dance' and creating our own masks.
It's been so lovely to get out in the sunshine, walks in the woods, trips to the parks and train rides to Horsham ☀️

What do whole grapes and small hard chocolate eggs have in common? They’re both the perfect size and shape to completely block a child’s airway. And, due to their texture they can be difficult to dislodge with standard first aid techniques.

With whole grapes we advise cutting them in half lengthways and ideally into quarters to create thin strips. But chopping up mini eggs isn’t as easy. So, what can you do?

1. Hide them from the children and eat them yourself – good luck with that!
2. Put the mini eggs into a sealable plastic bag and smash them into small pieces with a rolling pin. Or, crush them in a pestle and mortar.
3. Opt for a different treat. Larger, hollow eggs are much safer for little ones.

We have had a nice couple of weeks.
Last week the children enjoyed making their mothers day gifts and celebrating world book day, we explored the story of goldilocks and the 3 bears. The children loved making their own porridge. This week has been science week, we did the lava experiment and used coffee filters to make rainbows. We also had a few trips out to the dinosaur park, dragon maze and a muddy puddle walk through the woods.
Happy Friday ###x

Happy Friday!
We enjoyed celebrating 'floral day' this week. The children created a bookmarks, pictures and spent hours making petal potions.
We enjoyed seeing what colours we would make by mixing the food colouring together.
We managed to get out between showers and had a request from a child to make pancakes. So we did, and they were very much enjoyed. X###
