Raising aspirations and providing opportunities for students to reach their potential is a fundamental part of the vision at Bede Sixth Form College. The college offers a variety of A level and A level equivalent courses, T Levels and apprenticeships as well as full-time opportunities in Sport and Public Services. The College has also introduced some higher education courses for adult learners in the legal sector. Supporting sporting excellence, Bede is a TASS accredited college, with a dedicated sports centre situated on its site in Billingham.

Week 1 of our Sports Coaching Academy in partnership with SOSI (Schools Out Sports In) got off to a flying start this week, with SOSI founder Ross leading the way with some challenging coaching activities!

The partnership will see our students taking part in various coaching workshops designed to enhance learners knowledge and understanding of coaching, safeguarding and behavioural management techniques.

The programme has also been designed to identify potential volunteers who can work in schools as part of SOSI, with the possibility of work experience and paid seasonal sports coaching.

With so many students already volunteering for SOSI, the partnership will continue to grow, giving learners opportunities to test their skills in a real life working environments.

Our Bede Science Conservatoire students recently attended a conference at James Cook Hospital and presented their academic posters to clinical academics.

This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their medical case studies and network with a range of medical professionals who they could expect to see in the field.

The BSC is one of the additional programmes at Bede Sixth Form, designed to enrich student studies and develop scientific knowledge outside the sixth form curriculum.

Thank you to James Cook Hospital for hosting our students, giving them a valuable off site educational visit.

The A level Art and Design course at Bede Sixth Form College has always been known for it's gargantuan canvases, endless creativity and the amazing exhibitions that are shared with our communities year after year.

But did you know, A level Art and Design has a 100% A*- B pass rate, making it one of the highest performing Art courses in the country!

With creative lecturer Suzy Wandless leading the way, students thrive in a calm and supportive environment, that encourages them to express themselves freely. This is then reflected in the amazing course work they produce followed by some outstanding results.
